ok no offence to americans, but the american government really is stupid. they go on about how other countries should be civilised, but look at them!
what's brought this on is that i just watched a really horrible thing on tv. i don't know if any of you saw it, but on 'this morning' (i was bored) there was a woman who had been put in prison for 10 years or something, and had spent 5 years on death row. her husband had also been put on death row, and had been executed by electric chair. they were convicted of shooting dead two policemen, and when he was executed they put the wrong kind of sponge in the head piece and it took thirteen and a half minutes for him to die! i mean god, that's bad enough - but.. because there was the wrong sponge, his head caught fire and smoke came out of his ears and things.. it sounds so horrific, and they did it three times before he died!
and then, two years later, they were both found innocent. they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
the woman was then obviously released after being in solitary confinement after five years, but they killed an innocent man in a really horrific way, i can't believe it.
and she started talking about how she saw her children (aged 9 and 10 months when she last saw them) afterwards and god. it made me cry, literally, i was sitting on the sofa with tears coming down my face. it was so sad, that must be the most awful thing that could ever happen.
back to the beginning - the americans complain that other countries aren't civilised - but look at the way they tortured and killed that innocent man. i think you get my point.
