It's final exam week, and I am seiously overwhelmed! Between grading tests and essays (never-ending essays), updating the gradebooks, entering grades into the system, trying to get syllabi etc. prepared for new classes starting new week, running on million copies, holding after school study session, preparing for my principal observation next week, trying to find my desk (literally unfindable), preparing for the ACT... which I have to start preping my kids for stat because the cut off day is Feb, 23 YIKES!... I'm just BUSY!
I'm handling it and doing o.k., but I didn't realize quite how crazy this week was going to be. Lukcily, I have Monday off to finish up all the grading, etc. And then I will be OFFICIALLY half way through my first year of teaching. Wow. I can hardly believe it. Technically, I've been at the school for over a year now... time just flies.
Tomorrow I'm providing my seniors with boundless donuts as they take their exams. I also wrote them each a little note highlighting something I appreciated about them. I don't know if I'll have the time (or the desire) to do something like that every year, but these seniors have just been AMAZING, and I will miss them terribly. I think one thing I'll never get used to about teaching is that the kids leave. They change you and then they leave... just like real children. lol.
Even though I'm overwhelmed now, I'm still loving my job. :)
Other thoughts: I love my boyfriend. Cyn's wedding is in less than a month! Kat's is in less than 5 months! Spring break hits somewhere in between there. My family is doing well... now over the stresses that surrounded the holidays. I'm still loving yoga and am trying to ExerciseTV a few days a week. Life is good.
