Free HIV Testing on Tuesday

CCAP’s Family Health Services offers free walk-in HIV Testing for World AIDS Day- Tuesday, December 1st from 11am to 7pm.
Do you know where you stand?
Comprehensive Community Action Inc., (CCAP) is offering free, painless walk-in HIV testing in recognition of World AIDS Day. Results are available in 20 minutes. All are welcome, no appointment needed and you do not to be a CCAP patient.

Testing will take place on Tuesday, December 1st from 11am to 7pm at the following locations:
311 Doric Avenue , Cranston
1090 Cranston Street, Cranston
226 Buttonwood Avenue, Warwick
191 MacArthur Boulevard, Coventry
Testing is LGBTQ friendly and youth under 18 do not need parental permission to be tested.

HIV testing is also available by appointment each day. People may also call 401-943-1981 to schedule a day or time that is convenient.
World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1st. The World Health Organization established World AIDS Day in 1988. World AIDS Day provides governments, national AIDS programs, faith organizations, community organizations, and individuals with an opportunity to raise awareness and focus attention on the global AIDS epidemic. Over 1 million Americans are estimated to be living with HIV. The Rhode Island Department of Health estimates that there are approximately 4,000 people living with HIV and AIDS in Rhode Island , more than two thirds of whom don't know their HIV status.
CCAP Family Health Services is a federally qualified community health center that provides comprehensive primary care including medical, dental and behavioral health services in Cranston , Warwick and Coventry .
