OK, maybe I shouldn't be surprised...
After all, asking why S_____ had highlighted the line, and then explaining a few of the things he just simply did not have the background to see, is what has made me realize I need to re-read the book. I've a feeling I ought pay more attention to the writing, more than the personages.
Having finished with my most recent, I have plenty of time, and it is a quick read.
Of course no one on Long Island has time for such meditations as this, "...the very great pleasure which a pair of fine eyes in the face of a pretty woman can bestow".
More's the pity, I suppose (But then that text is to hand always now).
