Timeline in "The Rashomon Job"

I rewatched this episode last night on TNT and the Five Years Ago bit really stood out to me, especially when they finally got to the part Nate tells the team he was at the museum the night they were all trying to steal the dagger. Nate of the past reminded me a little too much of Sterling (and even as I say that I find myself actually missing him as he's such a delicious pain *g*) I think but I think what really got me was lol if Sophie had turned around on the stairs she so would've been busted right then because I don't doubt Nate have noticed it was her and also when Nate revealed the scam the museum director (?) had been pulling on IYS I couldn't help but think "Ouch!" as that was more money he saved them from having to pay out revealing the dagger was fake and money recovered when he also revealed the other parts of the scam this guy had been pulling on them.

The "Ouch!" is of course for the fact all this had to have happened around the time Sam was either in the last stage of his illness or had just died but I highly doubt as it was the latter as I'm sure Nate wouldn't have been able to function if his son had just died as he was barely able to functioning two years after the fact. The point is this entire thing with the dagger was another example of how Nate saved/recovered possible millions for IYS, and once again shows how greedy Ian Blackpoole really was.... and makes yet again so glad the team took him down at the end of the first season!
