It's not a band, but it always makes me think of Her Space Holiday's album, The Young Machines.

maybe! maybe. i was thinking more an AU a la megaman x. brendon is fighting to protect and preserve the remnants of humanity after some terrible (and probably robot-caused lol) cataclysm!!!!! lots of lasers and explosions and shit, and he is totally a huge dorkface about everything and spencer - idk, is spencer a human scientist on some kind of support team (repairs! concern!) or is he also a robot and is like "BRENDON BE SERIOUS FOR ONCE" and brendon is like "ahaha dude chill if i was serious all the time i'd just be depressed and give up v :) v" and spencer is like ":|" and as you can see i have not really thought this out yet at all, i mostly just want a lot of lasers and explosions

Ahahaha, 'another hollow Urie' makes me imagine a scenario where Brendon is Pinnochio, and that, I think, is surprisingly apt.

i think of the veils, myself. i don't like any of the bands the young veins remind me of! OR THE YOUNG VEINS. take that, ryan ross.

i don't even mind the young veins tbh, i don't think they're phenomenal and i wouldn't really seek them out but since they're there - idk i have that vague curiosity and i'm giving them a chance for no reason other than RYAN ROSS basically. :|
