Start seriously looking. Since you have a job and aren't desperate, there isn't any real hurry. Look and see what else is out there. Don't choose based on apathy. If you want international presence, don't settle for a company that doesn't have that.
You're right. Basically, I need to keep reminding myself of the difference between desperation and impatience -- more difficult than you might think since I can rationalize absolutely anything.
I just got off the phone with my main person in Moscow. I do really hate the idea of leaving this project before it's complete. But I also hate the idea of essentially donating my time to this firm to get it done -- and saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars in consultant's fee in the process.
Bah.
I thought when you did a job that nobody understood, you were supposed to get paid more, not less than everybody else?
No, that's when you do a job that they only partially understand. If nobody understands it then nobody has any idea of its value or can distinguish excellent from poor performance at it.
