what up, LJ friends! I'm still here, in Austin, still jobless, but pumping out words like mad. and absorbing pop culture like I never have before. I keep on meaning to actually write about things in here, but you know how it goes. I'm leaving for Florida in a day or so to help Lisa drive there and spend some time in Orlando. It's 60 degrees

So I posted a question to "all you writer sorts", but I'd like to ask you specifically.
I know that you have a relationship of sorts with your characters, from a party discussion many moons past. But, does your characters ever invade your walking life...with their own attitudes, opinions or what not? I'm trying to sort out what might be just occupational hazards with deep writers, and what might be a dormant someone, surfacing anonymously. I guess it doesn't matter all that much, she's here...what is...is. But in my new exploration...on line dating, I'm attempting to be as honest and clear as possible. This is difficult with a 'newbee' popping in like this. I usually know if something is real (ok whatever that is), and this feels like a character from my novel.
I'd be very interested in any "character" experiences, you'd be willing to share.
