IM HOME!!!!!!! finally!!
as cool as new york is, i missed mandeville. strange, but true. did you know new york has no dr pepper???!!! i swear to you, i didnt see a single dr pepper insignia while i was there. i thought i was gonna die. my mom and i were both ready to get one when we got on the plane today. yet, im now home, and still havent had one. grr.
anyways, new york was AMAZING! it had some definite lows, but that had nothing to do with the city itself. thursday, we flew up and got there around lunch time, so we went to this restaurant called mars 2112. it had bad food but a fun atmosphere. it was designed to look like you were on mars. they even had little alien people walking around! so that was kinda cool. then later that night we went to see wicked, which was absolutely the best show i've ever seen!! well, correction, i loved it as much as i did phantom of the opera. which is a lot. it was an amazing story and the cast was awesome!! i loooooved it!!! afterwards we went back to the hotel for the night. everyone stayed up really late, but carly and i probably stayed up the latest. i had a really really bad dream and ended up making myself sick with worry over it. like, literally sick. throwing up at 4:30 in the morning is so not fun. but thats over and done with, thank God. so yeah, that was thursday. friday was shopping day!!! we wandered around new york. went to places like ground zero, chinatown, etc. that was pretty fun, but i was completely worn out by the end of the day. and we had rehearsal later that night. everyone was kinda dragging along through it. saturday was the day of the competition. we were there for most of the day. our performance could have gone a bit smoother, but we didnt do too badly. we didnt get into finals, which was fine with everyone, cuz none of us wanted to perform again. there were a few really good show choirs there. it was actually rather entertaining seeing other people's shows. although, they all have a lot of the same choreography. its all stiff hand motions and stuff. no one moves around as much as we do. but anyways, that took up all saturday. we were pretty tired and didnt do much afterwards. carly and i hung out in lauren and cassidy's room for a couple hours, and that was it. and today, we came home! yay! so overall, the trip was great! i'd so love to go back there again. i loved just walking around the city. it was awesome.
unfortunately though, school is back up tomorrow. im sure everyone's excited. lol. but im gonna be like a zombie tomorrow. everyone who went on the trip will be. im totally exhuasted! so now, all i have to do today is shower and go to bed. i dont think i could handle much else lol. so yeah, thats all for now i guess.
