thanksgiving 2008

Well, I'm taking advantage of the internet while I've got it at the in-laws house....otherwise you may think I have dropped off the planet, when the truth is that Lawrence and I bought a house!!! Hurrah!!! It is so exciting to see a goal that we've had for 2 1/2 years actually happen! And in less than a week a goal that I've had for 5 years and a quarter will also happen: I will graduate!!!!! I'm not sure which is more exciting actually, homeownership, or bachelor's degrees. I suppose that doesn't matter since I'm going to have both very soon.

Work is also great these days. The day after graduation I'm flying off to Cleveland for a week of advanced robotics training. And then after that I have 2 weeks of paid vacation for the holidays. I am overwhelmed by the goodness in life and have to say I am abundantly blessed.

Thanksgiving was awesome. I love my in-laws and as each year passes I just feel more and more like they've always been there the way my family has been around. Jen is starting to really look pregnant, so of course she is becoming (if possible) even more cute. My sister, Tara, is getting married in Vegas on the 13th. Unfortunately that is also my graduation (which was planned long before the wedding) so we will have to celebrate later with her.

I'm kind of shocked at the adult-ness of life. It is strange and exciting, but most of all it seems wayyy too fast. I can hardly keep up with myself, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Happy day after Thankgiving!
Mrs. Rafferty (for life)
