Douglas' Test Results
Well Douglas went back to the Gastroenterologist today. He said that his Upper GI came back normal. But that when they did it cultures on his stool sample it grew a strain of bacteria. So he wants him to take Lactobacillus Granules, one packet a day for two weeks. He said that if bacteria are still there after two weeks he may have in infection in his colon. He said that sometimes when someone is in the hospital and they have intervenes drugs that they can get an infection from the tubing. He also said that when he got Douglas¡¦ blood tests back that his Carbohydrates levels in his blood were low and that his blood was very acidic He said that this may be a sign of his Kidneys not working? He wants to have more blood drawn, more stool samples and urine samples. He wants me to wait until Douglas¡¦ Diaherra has clamed down though. He has to go back in three weeks and said to make sure they tests are done by then. At this point I am at a loss. I am sure what is really going on. It¡¦s all so confusing. I feel awful that he has to go through all these tests. Just a down day I guess. It feels like the last nine months have been nothing but test after test and one Dr. Appointment after Dr Appointment. O well I know it will get better.
