Does anyone have a bow and arrows I could use? Or a staff? I didn't get any before because I thought I wouldn't need them, but I want to have them around, just in case!

You're an archer?

Yep! I used bows all the time in my world.

Cool. I'm Cissie--I'm an archer myself. I have a few arrows I can lend you, and an extra pair of gloves if you need them, but I'm afraid I only have the one bow.

Thank you! Do you know if any of your arrows are magic or of anyone who could make me a bow?

Uh... no. My arrows are just normal Olympic-competition-class arrows. Blunt-tipped, of course, but they still work. I'm not sure who might be able to make a bow, but I know there's a shop that someone named Sawyer runs--it operates on trade, though, and I'm not sure if he would have one or not.

Maybe someone can put magic in them, then~!

Thanks, I'll have to ask him!

...Why would they do that?

Someone told me that arrows can hold the power of love!

Oh. Um--that's kind of a legend. And also, not a great idea, really.

But it'd make everyone feel better!

Well--but what if you were already in love with someone, and then the arrow made you fall in love with someone else? Wouldn't that be sad? Especially if the other person still loved you, but you didn't love them? Or the person you fell in love with didn't love you back? It might make a lot of people very sad, too.

Why can't they love more than one person at a time?

That's--kind of a complicated question. Some people do. It's just not how it usually works. People sometimes get jealous. And anyway, if you shoot someone with an arrow to make them fall in love with someone, it takes away their choice to fall in love. Isn't it better for people to be able to choose who they love?

I love all my friends, though, and I don't think any of them are jealous...

What if the arrow only helped them along?

.....

There are a lot of different kinds of love.

Anyway, when the magic wears off, I think the people who were hit might be very angry about being hit.
