To tell the truth, I was... afraid of that version of me. I think I would have felt better about it if there hadn't been any similarities. I could have told myself that I'd never be like that.

That- that me was... *nervous, tries to write carefully and not blotch the words* ...she killed people... so many that she couldn't count them anymore. Most... were criminals, but there were some... *a policeman that had tried to stop her, and a man she could only remember as Ryuuzaki... the pen shakes too much and she has to stop there*

*now that she started she can't stop, because as much as she tried to ignore it the story hits far too close to home* ...That me lost her parents much later then I did. Their killer was arrested, but the trial date just kept getting pushed farther and farther back, and he might have gotten off, but- he was killed. Not by me, by someone called Kira. He was trying to make a perfect world, and was killing all the criminals with heart attacks.

Killing is wrong. It's wrong, it hurts people so badly, and no matter why you do it, it's not worth it. But my other self forgot that, and murdered others as a way to repay Kira.

I don't... want to forget.
