Appended hereunto, and strictly filtered from either Gai, is a message from the Headmaster, with a strict directive against revealing Hogwart!Gai's activities to the Gai who is still in London -- on the pain of consequences too dire to imagine.

I can't understand it. When I got to St. Mungo's, Dumbledore had already firecalled. They ran me through a battery of tests, told me to keep the artifact on my person at all times, and said it would "all work out soon". Why does that sound less than comforting???
All the strange entries in my journal are gone. But there are blank spaces that I can't write in! AUGH! When I get back to the castle, I'm going to root out that mysterious impostor and find out what's going on!!!

And yet I still tripped over Jaggerjack. There's got to be a moral in this.
Now that I think about it, it's hard to remember the trip back from London. Dumbledore said that was "quite to be expected". It makes me a bit nervous, though. He really didn't say much about why there are suddenly two of me. And two of Lee, for that matter. This artifact... it's not a Time-Turner, but it has some of the same magical properties. Why does he want me to keep it with me until the... others... get back from London?
Hmph. At least I'm not missing any more classes this way.
