So, it's Christmas Eve Eve. My family was supposed to go hang out with my sister's cello teacher for a lesson and tea and then come home, but they left at 12:30 and aren't back yet. Hm. This is a problem, because I have to go to Providence to retrieve some stuff I left at Alex's house and to buy something for Grace, and though I'm back on the car insurance, Dad won't let me drive on the interstate till I've reacquainted myself with the car, so I have to wait until they come back to do it. That, my friends, was a long sentence I just wrote. Anyway. I'm lonely, darnit.
We have a truly beautiful Christmas tree. I think it still needs more ornaments, though, and if I actually get to Providence this evening, I will get more of them. I also had to do a little rearranging to get my favorite ornament to a more prominent spot. It's a china ballerina, technically a bell, with a yellow and pink dress. I bought it when I was about five or six, and it's been my favorite ever since. Tremendous sentimental value, don't you know. I am very attached to almost all of our ornaments, which is why I'm glad we have a carpeted floor and thus, knock on wood, less chance of breaking things.
I'm really excited for Christmas. I feel like I'm in the spirit.

christmas, holidays, family
