No, seriously. And I'm not cutting that, either.
Today, I had to uninstall my virus scanner, because the latest update made it so incompatible with my old-ass OS that the machine refused to boot back up. While researching other virus scanners, I managed to get one that had a nasty conflict with Thunderbird's gMail contacts extension, and caused all my gMail contacts to be deleted, on the server. ON. THE. SERVER. Thankfully, Google has a backup plan for exactly such an occasion, and all is now back to something like right... Except for the problem where I can't upgrade my OS without bombing the machine, and I can't find an antivirus software that'll work on what I have...
I've been offline all day, trying to fix this shite, so if you've been looking for me, I apologise. Ok, not all day. Just the last nine hours. *grins*
