so, today matt and i went home to have his dad change the oil in his car. fairly simple. when we arrived, his dad informed us that travis's car and libby's explorer had both broken down. the van was undrivable, but he had fixed it. what horrible luck, right? felt bad for em, blah blah.
anyway, so we go to mawmaw's and matt's car starts to overheat and make funny noises. broken down. matt's dad comes to help us out - BOOM, his truck breaks down. then the lawn mower goes. so, now we're out of a way back to school. everyone is kind enough to let us use the recently fixed van (and seriously, i wish you knew about this van: i shall tell you). here goes, the side door doesn't lock, the radio doesn't play, the passenger door doesn't open and it's tied to the sliding door that doesn't lock. this prevents the passenger window from going all the way up and it makes the "door ajar" beeper go off every 1.5 seconds.
so there we go. had to stop at the country store and since my window doesn't roll up, i said "the only way this could get worse is if it starts raining". Pull in, and BLAM the worker says "did you know you have a flat tire?" it is the worse flat i have ever seen in my life! the rim was all the way on the ground. it was like something from a cartoon with the wobbly rubber just sort of hanging from the tire.
had to call matt's dad - again. it's like 11:00 pm now. he makes his second trip to union, poor guy (he had already been to lewisburg for a grill TWICE that day, but that's an entirely different bad luck story). he get's us up and going again, and off we go again. halfway to princeton we hear something fall back behind us. still have no idea what the hell it was, but his car started making this sort of space-ship-landing/sliding-on-concrete noise. we get home safely and carefully cut off the engine, cause i was sure the whole thing could go up into flames to end our day. maybe it would've been better if it had, at least we would've had fireworks.
