update!
I haven't really posted much on here lately, but I've been reading & commenting I swear!
here's a quickie:
Billy & I are doing great, no *official* engagement but he said he didn't want to put a ring on my finger just 'cause he was going to Iraq, but he said to expect one soon. After he gets back & I finish school we're getting married ASAP so I can be 'stuck for good' with him (as he says). I can't wait, I'm bubbling over just thinking of spending the rest of my life with that man. ::sigh::
He left for Iraq two weeks ago today, he spent a few days in Kuwait, but now's he's really over there. I've been able to talk to him a few times, mostly for like 15-20 mins, depending on if someone is behind him waiting for the phone or not. He sounds really good, and he's happy that his living quarters have AC (he was made for blizzards, not deserts hahaha). I talked to him today & he (finally) realized that it is madatory for him to come home on R&R (sometimes he's not the brightest bulb), so sometime late this fall (or early winter) I'll be in his arms for a short while (which means my body wont have to go through withdrawls for too long). The past two weeks having been going by so incredibly slow, it's driving me insane, but I guess it's just one large hump to get over. The days themselves go by pretty fast, but looking back a week feels like a month...
I spend every weekend with his family (100 miles away, but so worth it) so I can stay sane. I feel less alone when I'm with them. During the week I still work 9-5 m-f, but in the summer it'll change to 8-4 m-f. I'm going to school Tues & Thurs nights too, 5-10:30, so that takes up a good deal of my time too.
I'll try and update y'all more often, especially when more news from the dirt pile comes!
