Something disturbing has happened.
Yesterday, I puchased a two-inch long rainbow shark.
EXHIBIT A:

I kept the reciept and the little yellow bill of sale in case he got sick or died and I needed to take him in for water treatment or back for an exchange of some kind.
EXHIBIT B:

Brought him home, let him acclimate, put him in the tank. He swam around with a great deal of enthusiasm and seemed not at all nonplussed by his new friends, the butterfly catfishes (names of LIONEL and MOUSE) and one Plecostomus (name of BOBBY BROWN).

Went out with Boris and did not arrive at him until 10:48, at which point I went straight to bed.

This morning, the rainbow shark is nowhere to be found.

SUSPECTS:
Mom/Dad -

Maybe they decided to Return My Fish without telling me, or maybe he died and they disposed of him somehow? The former seems more likely as exhibit B is conspicuously missing.

OTHER FISH:

They can be assholes to the new guy if they want to. There may yet be a rainbow shark corpse sitting in the bowels of the tank filter.

I'll be finding out soon and keeping you updated on THE CASE OF THE MISSING SHARK.
