I had a blast auditioning last week, and I knew there was something in the Musical Director's and Director's eyes when they saw me do my thing. I really wanted to have fun that night, and I wished I had auditioned more often for theatre in general. I know Anne C is crazy too, but she is an awesome Voice coach, and I gotta say so much has paid off from recent voice and dance lessons.
Anyway, got a call from the director tonight. I won the role of Conrad Birdie!!! On Wednesday they're gonna be testing me with the Kim potentials, seeing who looks good etc. I already got a message from one of the Kim's on facebook. How do these girls find me so fast? I can't wait to meet them!
In a few weeks I'm going to be attending Bartending school. 4 days of 8 hour training, mixing drinks, and it's only 2 blocks away. The tuition is only $350 I think, and that's totally worth it. I know that if I do work some areas, I'll be making the money I spent on the school in 4 nights or less.
The ROTH IRA went up again, thank god. Market shares are looking nice, and even though it's higher risk than the bonds, it's really paying off. Phew. I just have to make sure I don't get the urge to sell any shares to pay off my car repair. My wallet pretty much got KO'd from Wisdom teeth extraction ($900), car repair ($2500), car insurance renewal ($700), and a little holiday shopping (still going up).
Anyway, since I was told that TDT doesn't allow 3 weeks out of a show run, it seems like maybe I could be an understudy in case anyone gets sick, or just have no opportunity in it. If I'm not allowed to be an understudy, then I'll just start auditioning for the other theatres in Maryland till the end of the run of Grease.
Maybe it's time to meet a new theatre group. Who knows what will come out of it, I'm hoping for the best. Updates will come on Wednesday!
