went in to the same company for another interview.... now i'm waiting at the library near by for mel....
bah, computers that are all locked up, you can't even use the start menu, but..... knowing what aweful things you could do to the PC, i understand what the deal is with that lol.
gonna try to find a javascript telnet thinger, cause i -need- telnet, w/o a port out into another world, i'm just sitting at a IE machine for another half hour. maybe i'll read more slashdot, w/o a job, i've been pumpin' slashdot like a m0f0 lately, hehe.
mood = annoyed, because it's -funny- as all get out kids playin' mad games on these pc's. blip bing bong ping p0ng b0ng jing sling bang b00m slam b0mb crash schlaaaping. it's annoying but, it's great. there was never anything as fun as games at a library when i was a kid. if they did have a computer... definately did not have games.
anyways.... the second interview went well. a little more technical granularity than the first interview, which is good. i'm better with the technical schtuff anyhow.
so, here's an email i sent to the mel meister, i'll pass it along to you all if you wish to see what went down...
well, it's 10:41 now, so i was in there for like another hour and a half.
it was basically another interview, got to get more in depth with what they're doing, see some sites, see how they archetect their data, schtuff like that. got to see how carbone site works, how another couple sites work. talked to jim (guy 1) first, and the other co-developer (foreign guy, forget his name, sh00t!) both nice, talked to them most of the time, they were asking me how familiar i was with the technologies, and as you can imagine,
i know what i'm talking about, so it was a really good conversation. they were also asking me if I had any skills with the game Quake, cause I'd have to keep everyone in line cause Jim is the best. I said I was good, but, that's a lie, I sux0r at quake, lol. anyways, that's just fluffy talk.
then talked to kirk (guy 3) again, he was asking me if I could develop an intranet system to make their office a paperless office -- i was right up there with that, cause, i basically did that for dad at BHS, theirs would be more complex, but, it's along the same lines.
then talked to tim (guy 2, bbwhs [big boss w/ hot sauce]) anyhow, that was a good convo too, he basically rehashed what kirk had to say asking me about if I could do it, if any of the technologies/methodologies seemed intimidating, which they don't. he said that he'd be getting back to me either later today or tomorrow about if/when i'd be starting. he was also asking when i'd be able to start, which -has- to be a good sign.
but.... i'm like 110% confident that I have the job. why 3 hours of convo total if no job?
anyways, I love you. I'm at New hartford public library as you might've imagined, i'll be here. i'm probably going to sit here and read slashdot.org for a while, waiting for you.
it'd be awesome if you could come in and grab me, cause it's nasty-a$s outside. you can find me by...
