I've got an I-Mockery piece up about
Ugly DVD Covers, which I've received some good feedback on. The most amusing thing of all is that someone posted the link to the View Askew message boards, and Kevin Smith responded to my comments about the Jersey Girl cover. Also, the Kevin nickname "Pervo McBeardyhead" really seems to have caught on with some people on the boards. :P
Blizzard finally announced Starcraft 2 this weekend, which had me pretty excited. It's about time they got off their asses and made a real game, since I have no interest in releases that amount to little more than glorified chat rooms.
Saw the new Transformers movie trailer last night, and it raped, beat, killed and then pissed on the rotten corpse of my childhood. I'm not expecting a "deep" story (especially not from Michael Bay), but the Transformers all look like total ass (Starscream looks like a fucking gorilla). I don't care if Optimus Prime made "the sound" for all of two seconds if he looks like a rancid turd after he transforms. Morbid curiosity demands I see this movie, but I have EXTREMELY low expectations.
Also, I'm turning 30 in about 3 weeks, and I'd like to do something special or fun to celebrate. Problem is, I don't really know what I want to do. I'd like to host a party, but my apartment isn't really very conducive to that, I did duckpin bowling two years ago and we did mini golf last year. I could do duckpin bowling again this year I suppose, but does anybody out there have any other fun suggestions? The past two years have involved around 12-15 people, so it'd have to be something a group that size could do.
