Last class before spring break...

Mar 20, 2008 10:14

I was up at 4 am correcting papers today since my 111 students are handing in their journals today and my 112 class turned in final drafts of their Claim of Value papers. Lots to lug around and I'm hoping that I can get it all corrected before I leave Saturday night.

I'm too excitied to be heading out to see my mom. The flight to The Netherlands should be interesting, with kidlet in tow. I'm hoping that she'll stay passed out for the duration, since it's an overnight flight.

I will likely be very amusing upon my return--we get back on Saturday evening and I'm back into the hectic schedule that is my life on Monday, bright and early. It'll be worth it though. I need a good break from Evansville, and I haven't been to Europe since I was living in Boston.

The other day I was thinking about the fact that I really need to write about what happened in LA and what I learned from it all. Most importantly, I need to address how things have changed for me today... perhaps this afternoon while I'm in The Write Place.

We'll see.
