I am offically nominated to be next year's honorary Creative Writer in Residence at UIS. Whoop! Whoop!
If I get the position my duties are as follows:
1. Attend all open mic readings on campus
2. Actively attempt publication (it is not required to be pre-published hehe)
3. Create an online blog with entries relating to writing/publication to which everyone on campus has open access
4. Give presentations to creative writing classes and other English students
5. (and my favorite) be the main speaker at a reading. As in..."Open Poetry/Prose reading at University of Illinois featuring a public reading by Paige Bloomfield." How nifty would that be?
