Digimon
There's a looong story to go with this oneshot (namely that my niece is only 5 and too cute to refuse to), but I'll save you the agony.

1.
She doesn't like Davis Motomiya that much.
She respects Cody, Yolei had been a little annoying in the beginning but had turned out okay later, and Ken...
As much both of them avoid the issue, she and Ken have a connection. It's not everyday that you meet your traitor-turned-savior buddy.
But yes. She respects the new kids, with exception to Davis, though she can't figure out why he should be different-but he is.
Maybe it's because he's Tai Lite. Or maybe it's the shameless pursuit of Kari. But the point is-she just doesn't really respect the new leader of the Digidestined.
And she's got much better things to do than mull over why.
2.
She thinks that T.K and Kari are wasting their time.
Kari's a sweet kid. She really is. And she's well-Kari's her partner, for pity's sake, and that should be enough for any kid to fall heads over heels in love with her.
And T.K-he could be an angel if he wanted to be.
Both of them are not unintelligent. But really, they're so oblivious, it's hard to figure that out. Fine specimens of the humans race, the two, and she's pretty sure that neither realizes that they're completely in love with other.
It had been fun in the beginning, watching the two of them awkwardly and sometimes unintentionally flirt like two half-grown kittens and then watching Davis turn purple, but as they got older and Davis got over the crush, it started to get tiring, and fast.
She can only stand Grey's Anatomy because it stays in the TV. It would not be good at all it became real life.
3.
She doesn't visit Wizardmon's grave because she's far too busy. Then she visits once a month because do all DemiDevimons sound the same? and Biyomon's cranky, I think she's expecting another litter and Patamon tried to cook the other day, the pot flew at my head.
She never says I miss you, because she doesn't need to. She's eternally grateful for his sacrifice.
Not a day goes by that she doesn't regret it.

Given the choice between Patamon and Kari, she'd take Kari, no question, no second-guessing.
Patamon is her best friend.
He's her best friend, her teammate, and the two of them complement each other in far more ways than she can count.
But Kari is Kari, and she would not be here if Kari had not existed.
So yes. Patamon is her best friend. But Kari is her partner.
Given the choice between her best friend and her partner, she'd take the partner.
No question, no second-guessing.
But most of the time she's really glad that she doesn't have to choose.
