So I count part 1 as being a wild success because I have finally managed to pimp Ro into 1D fandom. Yay! Now I don't have to restrain myself from ALL the 1D chatter when we meet up, lolololol.
But I haven't convinced her to write fic yet (despite throwing many ideas her way). But since she's admitted to a fondness for certain members of the band and pairings, well...*cracks knuckles* time to exploit those weaknesses! :)
Again, here be lots and lots of gifs and stuff. Slower connections beware!
Zayn/Niall ("Ziall")
Zayn and Niall are these GQMFs right here.
Somehow, over the course of the last month, they've become one of my favourite pairings.
Niall is so happy-go-lucky and completely sweet about his bandmates. He just randomly tweets Zayn to let him know how much he loves him and loves his voice!
And if you missed it, a few weeks ago on the 1D Radio 1 Takeover, Zayn rang in during Niall's segment and it was the most adorable thing EVER.
Zayn: But right now I just want to make you smile.
Niall: Yes Zayn. I love you.
That's verbatim. :D Even without slash goggles, I think this is some of my favourite canon right there. :)
And they're huggy and super adorable with each other.

Hello, it's one of my favourite hugging pictures in this fandom! (And there's a lot to choose from...) From the colour co-ordination to the way Niall curls right into Zayn's body with his face buried in his shoulder....gah. Here, have it from another angle.

And then, somewhere in the last 6 months, Niall went from adorable to hot and I feel like his interaction with Zayn changed accordingly.
Ok, so this is still sort of cute? But Niall's little eyebrow wriggle after is kinda dirty. :p
You could just call this weird, but what really sells it to me is how Niall arches into it. Just...mmm. (Also, I feel this was made for 'cock goes where?' jokes, lol.)
And then, MORE whispering (that I missed in my last post, or that has happened since then...keep 'em coming...)

The first time I saw this, I was like, "Ahahah, someone give me the context, why does this look like that series of gay porn with twinks in hotel rooms. This is photoshopped, right?"
...nope, not shopped. Actual video in which Zayn and Niall are topless, lying in bed, speaking with fake American drawls, and singing RnB. And then Zayn puts his glasses and climbs into bed with Niall and they start crooning and I DIE. STOP BEING SO ATTRACTIVE YOU ARE CHILDREN (btw, if you're wondering, they're actually 18 at the time of this video, it's ...kinda okay?).

One Direction: obsessed with hair
So One Direction are like 30% sunshine and adorableness, 30% teenage hormones and 40% HAIR so it should come as no surprise that they're kinda obsessed with each other's?
All this evidence leads me to believe that in their past lives, One Direction were all cats. There is no other explanation for how much they seem to enjoy it. I mean, Harry is basically purring in this gif where Zayn is giving him scritches.

Harry/Niall ("Narry")
I love Harry and Niall's dynamic as friends more than ship it romantically, so obviously, my first 1D slash fic was Harry/Niall. *snerk*
That said, Niall knows what Harry does in the shower.
Harry: I take quite long showers.
Niall: He likes to stand there with his head down.
Harry: 0_o

And he can reel off all the subjects Harry would've taken at college. (My kingdom for a Harry-and-Niall, best friends at uni fic please.)
When I was trying to give Ro a crash course in Harry/Niall so she could beta What Makes You Different,I think I finally hooked her into giving 1D a chance because of this video:
The host is a dick at the start but it's quite a fun, interesting interview by the end, and it gives a good sense of both their personalities, and also how they're very comfortable around each other (also, another great example of Niall accidentally insulting Harry, ahahahah.)
But mostly, I find them very "I will call him squishy, and he will be mine, and he will be my squishy!" about each other, which is ADORABLE.
(Harry's small smile and dimple as he turns into the cuddle, awww!)
*GLOMP*
(As an aside: do people use that word anymore? Am I really showing my age?)
And when Niall gets freaked out in crowds, Harry makes sure he's okay. ;__;
