(no subject)
Hi! I had a pretty crap day to round off a tough week, but then I had coffee and cake and fannish talk with 
littlerhymes which helped cheer me up. Then she told me to go home, trawl tumblr and make another post to try and sell her some more on One Direction fandom, preferably with lots of Niall and Zayn. So here I am. :)
Am I a conspiracy theorist at heart or do we all really believe that Live While We're Young was "leaked"? It's awfully good timing, and there was a pretty good quality version up fairly fast.
Anyway, thoughts on the new song. I'm glad for all they say the new album will be different, this pretty much proves it won't be. (For starters, we're still working with the pattern of Liam -> Zayn -> Harry coming in on the chorus -> Zayn -> sometimes we let the other two sing a line.) And by the time I'd watched the video twice I could sing along, so. Goddamn perfect bubblegum earworm! *shakes fist*
So, the video.
So much colour and movement and wet or no t-shirts and puppypiles and phallic objects. And oh yeah, lovely moments between all the guys. :)

Also: GIANT HAMSTER BALLS.

And apart from Zayn's many faces, Louis tipping everyone over at least once, and of course, the hamster balls, I can't stop watching this moment of the guys casually and easily tossing Niall into the pool.
I don't know if this makes me a bad person, or just someone who wants OT5 fic where everyone holds Niall down 'cos he's little and he'll let them. Um.
So if that wasn't enough excitement for one day, 1D played an iTunes festival show which started at 6am this morning for me. I set my alarm, but then I was pretty much like this with my alarm clock when it rang at 5:50am:
So I only caught the tail end of it when I woke up at my normal time. According to tumblr, I missed Zayn calling Harry "sex....y" and Liam making Niall blush and giggle by calling him "cute". Awwwwww!
And then the band made Niall go to the zoo by himself again.
There was also more gratuitous whispering, just to spite me (has anyone seen a nicer version of this floating around?)
Then there was also the interview Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac did with 1D before the show.
The only video I've seen is wonky (everyone looks like a bobblehead!) but it was worth watching because there was such an interesting, slightly-off vibe to the whole thing - like, Harry is trying way harder to answer questions seriously than he normally does, Niall is three seconds from bursting into laughter at many points, and Louis has some serious bitchface going on. I can see people spinning fic out of this... (by which I mean, I hope people are writing fic about this. Gimme!)
