Hi! *waves shyly* So I kind of dropped of the face of posting for a while there, for a multitude of reasons. I've been writing posts in my head for a while now but I'm a bit out of practice so to ease myself back in, here be a meme, stolen from

How I FEEEEEL about this character

Contrary to most of the fic I read, I actually like Sean Parker. I think he would be hard to get along with in RL if you don't measure up in his eyes. But he would also be a really fascinating friend. Considering what he has done, his ability to generate ideas and to find people who are able to execute really interesting ventures, and those interviews where people seem so torn between his flakiness and his brilliance, I feel you'd never have a boring day if you were friends with him.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Hmm, I'm not sure. I haven't gone out of my way to read much Sean fic but I think Sean/Eduardo fic should be interesting - it seems like these two guys might still be in contact, maybe even friends. I wonder about the part he played in what happened between Eduardo and Facebook, if there was no acrimoniousness between them, really. But in terms of movie canon, you know I'd think a bitter, angry relationship would also make for good reading. :)

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Sean & Mark! From the movie I could really see Sean and Mark sparking it off as friends, as people with this big ideas and a certain ruthlessness to getting things done just the way they want. Dreaming big dreams and going after them wholeheartedly...but the difference being that Sean seems to get bored after he's achieved it and moves restlessly onto the next project, whereas Mark keeps going, restlessly improving. So that would make for an interesting friendship, how they'd push each other forward, and how they'd complement each other.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I don't buy the whole 'he's a useless, coked-up playboy' characterisation - he's managed quite a lot in a very short amount of years. I'd believe he's kind of flaky but then I know flaky, brilliant people in RL too, and it's that idea that to be really awesome in one area (e.g. career) some people just don't have the energy/focus to bother with the other areas (e.g. social).

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon

AHAHAH...maybe Sean bringing Eduardo and Mark together again?

This was a really hard one to answer, because I have divergent ideas about RPF and movie characterisations but I notice my answer bounces from one to the other. Sorry!

Gonna think more about the Christina one since things have changed a lot for her since we were in that fandom...

I LIKE SEAN TOO. I won't lie, I LOVED the Vanity Fair article on him that was basically everybody being like, yeah, he's brilliant and genuinely interested in supporting innovation and a TOTAL flake who owns a car worth a quarter mil and then still sleeps on Shawn Fanning's couch sometimes, just because. Like, wow. Why don't people write about THAT guy more? I want to read more about him! :(

Huh what? For realsies? Details please! :D

Yeah, there's interesting dissonance between movie Sean and rl Sean. I think the movie works hard to make us believe in that useless playboy characterisation, all flash and no substance. But rl would seem to indicate it's not all talk.
