multi-fannish happy post

When I have time again (which will hopefully be within a week or two, yessssssss) I will sit down and write that fannish pimp post for all the great TV shows I've been watching, but in the meantime, a grab bag of multifannish stuff that's making me happy on this Sunday afternoon.
  • This is a great article by David Bordwell on The Social Network and the "faces behind Facebook". If you're as big a geek for this kind of micro detail analysis as I am, you'll probably enjoy this a lot - who isn't wondering what Andrew Garfield and Jesse Eisenberg's eyebrows are conveying in key scenes?
  • Still on TSN, I really enjoyed this interview with Armie Hammer where he comes across as a pretty awesome person. He's articulate, gives some really interesting detail about filming his twin parts in the movie (along with a lot of Fincher love), and has a refreshingly open attitude about religious faith.
  • This one is thanks to
littlerhymes, who sent me a link to videos of Best Pictures nominees recreated in Lego...and also by children. The children ones are all super cute, though the Social Network one is the best ("Mark, we were best friends!" "Great snappy dialogue." "This is the smartest movie ever.")
  • This review of Panic!'s Bowery Ballroom show is intriguing and heartening, even if it is written by James Montgomery, fanboy extraordinaire. I loved Brendon's reaction to it too. Though speaking of JMont, I actually really liked his totally sincere fanboy elegy for The White Stripes.
  • I'm hoping for some good reports and media from PaleyFest this year - there's a White Collar panel and a Parks and Recs one PLUS a Freaks and Geeks reunion! With pretty much everyone except James Franco, but that's still pretty awesome. \o/
  • And everyone and their flist has probably already seen this, but the South Korean ads for Sherlock (version BBC) really do have their slash goggles on: one and two. If you've always wanted to see the Sherlock Holmes series as a romantic dramedy about John and Sherlock's relationship - with bonus crime! (Actually, you can't tell there's any crime from these ads).
The changing weather is also making me happy. Ah, cool breeze and below 35 degrees Celsius temperatures, how I've missed you...

tv, music, the social network, movies, patd
