I had more conversations in RL about Dumbledore being gay than I've seen posts about it on my flist. And this was at church 0_o And funnily enough, they're *less* outraged about it then most of my flist, heh.

Does Pleasure Ryland, from the new Cobra Starship album, make anyone else think of Dick In A Box? (We all know Gabe's muse is JT anyway.) It didn't grab me as completely as the previous album did on first listen, but it's definitely worth some further listening.
I got my copies of The Umbrella Academy 1 and 2 yesterday and devoured them on the late night train home. I *love* it - the randomness like boxing match that starts it all off being "an occurrence of complete coincidence" and the awesome "zombie robot Gustave Eiffel!"reveal which I've loved since I saw it in one of the preview articles, the little nods to history, the deadpan tone.
Part 2 is better in terms of the weaving a really intriguing mystery, and it's darker with the squabbling siblings and their plastic mom (I *love* that panel with her exposed, I was just not expecting it at all and I think I actually gasped), but I really liked Part 1 with its sense of fun in setting up this familiar and yet utterly strange world (you gotta love that within four panels, the Eiffel tower is revealed to be an alien spaceship, and the kids who've just saved Paris are overjoyed to be given...one scoop of ice cream each. AHAHAHAHA.)
If anyone still wants to receive a present before the end of the year, or to ask a question, I'm still taking replies in the previous post.

I *love* this new picture of Gerard, it is ridiculously hot. And I normally think smoking is bad, but the combination of the tie, the 'tortured artist' hair (hey, that's how I'm explaining it, okay?), the expression on his face and the cigarette is just...Mmmmm.
And in this one he just looks so so much like Mikey (it's something about the eyes).
