(no subject)
Been pretty quiet on the fandom front lately, because uni has been killing me, and work has just been an annoyance on top of that, which pretty much adds up to a general lack of motivation to do anything but scroll and scroll and not engage at all. But I did manage to get it together to finish the essay from hell on Saturday morning so I could raid the Sydney Uni annual massive book sale with littlerhymes. I already *have* two and a half bookshelves packed full of 'things-to-read', but how could I resist the lure of very very cheap books laid out on about 8000 trestle tables? ...okay, I lie. There were maybe 30 or so table all up, but it never ever ceases to please me to walk in and see the Great Hall packed with books upon books and people nose deep in armfuls of books. =)
Now it's back to the grind since I have an essay due Thursday, and then more due after the uni break, and I love being back at uni on some level but I hate all this essay writing. >.< But, distract me anyway? I want to play my favourite music meme, since it's been a while.

Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song the lines come from.
Step 4: Cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly.

I feel like I've run myself into a musical rut - I enjoy the stuff I'm listening to a lot, but I *am* listening to the same stuff over and over and even when I manage to source really great new stuff from people (and by people I really mean the kindness of Ro) I feel like my playlists are the same artists, the same music, all the time. Hm. Rec me new stuff, please? Tell me what your current favourite artists are, why I should check them out - that would be awesome. =)
