Wave 025

Well, that was fun.

The party, I mean, not the mad rush to get the cake order filled beforehand. We've had some pretty hectic days in the bakery before, but that was something else. And I wasn't the one responsible for the baking or decorating, either, so even I can't really talk about how much work went into all that and how frantic it was there for a while. But I'm pretty sure everyone would agree that the results were well worth it.

I should probably learn how to do some of that, one of these days. Who works in a bakery and can't bake, right? Also, it might give the boss one more reason to keep me around when he's on the verge of firing me, and that's never a bad thing.

And it looks like our bakery wasn't the only business doing well for itself yesterday, either. Somebody must've bought out a balloon store, with the number of them that showed up at our door. Gift baskets, too. The discs of music a nice touch, though, whoever sent me those. I've been listening to them, and I have to admit the tunes are pretty catchy, even if the overall theme is a little repetitive.

Three holidays down, one to go. And in another two weeks I'll have been here half a year. I wonder if it's true that we only stay here as long as we're interesting? Because if we keep having nights like the one we had yesterday, we're probably all going to be here a long time.

[OOC: THG cast will each find one of these left for them, minus the roses, which Finnick will be quietly disposing of himself. >>]
