Wave 023
So today's the first day of February. January seemed pretty uneventful as far as holidays go, but it sounds like this month's going to more than make up for all that lost time. So far I've heard there's another New Year's celebration (even though we just had one last month), there's something with a ground rat predicting the weather, there's Valentine's Day with the red and pink hearts, and then there's something about a President's Day.
That's four. Am I missing any others? February's a short month, too, so that works out to something like one a week. Looks like I'll be pretty busy.
Oh, right, I am forgetting another one. Tomorrow I'll have been here for five months. So if anyone wants to celebrate the five-month anniversary of the day I arrived to light up your lives, feel free, with my blessing. I'd join in myself, but I pulled a long shift at the bakery tomorrow, so it looks like the only celebrating I'll be doing is maybe eating a cupcake while I'm behind the register.
But on the bright side, at least the color of the month is red. Which means all the icing is, too.
