[Thoughts | Off-Network]

And now Johanna's here.

I wonder if our Gamemakers realize what exactly they've gotten themselves into, bringing Johanna here. Probably not, or they might've been more hesitant to actually do it. Even back when Gale and Haymitch were here, the troublemakers of our little pack, they still knew when to keep their heads down. Or at least, Haymitch kept himself pretty well stupored from all the liquor, and Gale was usually more concerned with Katniss than he was with rabblerousing. It's different with Johanna. She won't play along as easily as some of us would.

She definitely won't play along as quickly as I would.

But I can't deny that it's a little easier to sleep now, knowing that she's around. At least now it's not just me. She'll never jump just because I say to jump, but at least now, if I can't be in two places at once...

It's reassuring to have allies, isn't it, Mags? Even though you were the only one I ever needed.

First things first. I'll have to get her down to Presea, find her some axes. She'll be happier with a weapon in her hand. Then we'll have to figure out for good who's staying where. Maybe Peeta will want to move in with Katniss and Cinna. Or maybe Rue will want to go, to be closer to her. Or maybe they'll both go because they think it's safer than living in an apartment that's got both me and Johanna in it. Or maybe Johanna will decide she can't stand the thought of living with any of us and go take over Haymitch's old apartment instead--I wouldn't put that past her, either.

It's going to be kind of fun, watching her and Katniss start feeling each other out as she settles in. Katniss might've finally met her match in obstinance. I'll just have to make sure they don't kill each other in the process. Peeta's pretty quick on the uptake, though. If he grabs Katniss and I grab Johanna, we can probably wrestle them apart without too much trouble. Katniss probably isn't much heavier than a bag of flour, even if she's kicking.

Cinna, you really don't have much luck with these family dinners, do you? First it was Gale and Peeta at the same table, and now it's going to be Johanna and Katniss.

I still think it'd be funny to set her up with Xander, too. Even if he knows better now.

On the other hand, this also means there's the possibility of Johanna affected by a curse, and given some of the ones we've seen up until now...I know I can stop her, if it comes down to it. Katniss probably could, if she had a fair distance and a bow in her hands. Peeta might, but I doubt he would. Cinna and Rue wouldn't stand a chance.

And of course, she might cut my throat in my sleep if the mood strikes her. I doubt she will and I trust she won't, but that doesn't mean I don't acknowledge the possibility.

Still, I'm glad to see her. If someone has to be here, someone I wanted to see--

Annie would be in just as much danger here as she is back there. Maybe more, considering how much power these Gamemakers have, even if I still can't find a motive behind what they do. Mags would make for such an easy target, being so old. At least Johanna can take care of herself. She'll adapt. She'll see it for the arena it is. She'll hate them for what they do, just the same as we do.

Yeah. I can breathe a little easier now, knowing she's around.

Okay, ladies. Let's talk for a minute.

I know you're all glad to see me back at work. Trust me, I'm glad to be back myself. But the thing is, I've checked with my boss and it turns out we have a "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy. So while I appreciate your enthusiasm at welcoming me back, I do have to warn you that if you keep taking your clothes off for me, I'm going to have to keep kicking you out. Believe me, it pains me just as much to do it as I'm sure being naked in the freezing cold pains you. But you know how it goes. Rules are rules.

(Oh, and before you ask--I already checked if "no shirt, no shoes, no service" meant you could come in without pants and be just fine, but he said that's out of the question, too. Sorry, no loopholes today.)

I like the clouds, though. They might not count as clothes, but it's a nice touch. Very whimsical.

[OOC: Finnick works the register at a bakery. Girls like to come in and flirt with him. 2 + 2 = Sexy No Jutsu. And he's just...vaguely amused by it all. Feel free to action him up if you want to visit the bakery and lose your clothes complimenting him; if not, anything on the Network is fine.]
