Looks like all the crowds from this past weekend haven't subsided yet. I've been fighting my way through people all day, the streets are packed full, and it seems like everyone's yelling. Is it really going to be like this all the way through until the end of next month? I don't know if I can handle another whole month of this

Standing up as quietly as she might, she looks around and startles as a black box falls, seemingly from a pocket in her dress, but she has never seen it.

Oh she has her moments, and they are longer than others, enough to be called the majority, but it's a stillness and a fear that knifes its way at her from the inside out. She can't help it, and curls her hands tightly, nodding to his voice. Just him saying her name is enough to call her back, but not only to him.

He doesn't quite crash into her this time, but stops short a few feet away from her, looking her over as if reassuring himself that it's really her, she's really real, she's really here.
And then he closes those last few feet and sweeps her into his arms.]

Even if it is, she can't bear to let him go if she isn't forced to.
Her clasp tightens and then she tilts her face up at his with all the quietness of a low tide in the earliest of morning hours, radiating the kind of calm she can't quite channel without him to anchor it.
Dependent, yes, but it's a little because he gives her back some of herself every time he acknowledges her, and then he lets her keep it.
