Two topics today:

Chakra Strings and Regrets.

Chakra strings is what Tsugai had me and Raikou practicing with today. It didn't go well for me. My chakra really hasn't recovered from yesterday and I couldn't mold it at all. So my real lesson is don't go all out if you don't absolutely have to, because you never know when you're going to need energy you don't have anymore.

People regret things. It's a fact of life. Just because I can't neccessarily control something doesn't mean that I don't wish with every part of my being that it didn't happen. And if its at least in part my doing, I have every right to regret it. And you can leave me alone about it.

And what the hell, I'll share this story with all of you:

The third Kazekage had a move called "Iron Sand." He was the most powerful Kazekage we ever had. He died a long time ago. He was the most powerful Kazekage we ever had, but he disappeared. Then war broke out, so we could never afford the manpower to search for him. We were never the same. Never recovered..from losing him, from the war. The Daimyos of our own country decimated the village.

He was called Tetsu of the Iron Sand. He became a genin at the age of 8, chuunin at 10, jounin at 11. He was a Kage at 38. His favorite food was udon with tofu, made by his sister, Kana.

She died ten years ago. She was 78. She had three surviving children, eight grandkids. Her husband died long before that, though. Her daughter Sachi told me that she took it really hard when her brother first disappeared, but as time passed, learned to deal with it. But when it came out what really happened to him... She never got over that.

He was killed by Sasori of the Red Sand, a puppet master. Sasori killed him and convered the body into a hitokugutsu.

Sachi has a son Ha'sen's age who was named Tetsu, too. That Tetsu died last year, on a mission. The family thought his name cursed him..but they were proud, too, because he sacrificed himself to save his entire team. His ashes were lain with Kana and the rest of his family who'd passed. His team lived. They swore to honor his memory. They're still here and they're still trying. To not have him look down on them with regret that he traded himself for them.
