Fifty eight days ago I decided to run this marathon and
raise some cash for a group I thought did a good job. It was just after coming across an interview w./ David Goggins where he stated this great truth: "people respond to pain." Feb 21st is the day of the race and that day begins in 11 minutes.
I'm about to crash out for a few hours sleep before the 4am wake up and the grueling ordeal that is driving/parking/shuttling/staging before the race. Then around 7:30am I will expect a gun to go off and suddenly realize I have to pee. And when I finally get to the portable toilets, I will see the line is 20 people deep. And then the gun will go off.
But yeah - I'm running my first 26.2 tomorrow and I'm pretty excited to see what the Intra-coastal Bridge feels like at mile 25.
The run is the
National Breast Cancer Marathon and like I said, I'm
trying to raise a thousand bucks so... you know... contributions and signal boosts are always welcome.
