Ever noticed that the French ecureuil is always shown with busy, furry ears? As in Les Malheures de Sophie? Are French squirrels different somehow? I looked it up and can find no evidence of furry-eared squirrels. Though I did learn that their
attempts to bring down our power grids* and stock markets have been explained by the claim that cables look like branches. Also that older copies of The Joy of Cooking are alleged to contain squirrel recipes. Yeah, sure....

Please explain to me how anything, let alone a good sized rodent, could climb into a capacitor? Have you ever seen a capacitor? The largest capacitor I have ever seen is smaller than a squirrel and is, more to the point, sealed. Don't tell me the 'fact' has a citation. Citing Daily Kos for animal behaviour data does not inspire confidence.
