"I’ve been working with Egg Tempera and Silverpoint for about 4 years," says the artist. "Currently I’m working with a serial of watercolor paintings mixed with the traditional Asian old technique and modern subject matter. Most of my images come to me when I’m day dreaming or falling asleep. I enjoy incorporating ideas from ancient Chinese and Greek mythologies as well as European fairy tales. The dark and mysterious stories from different countries and cultures all share similar formal devices and motifs in my work. The timeless decadent sentiments, the struggling about the good and evil that happens in someone’s inner self. I’m most interested in the psychological twist, the delicate nature of identity, sexuality and personal politics." [via
