YES, I'M ALIVE IF YOU DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW!

Yep, I'm alive. So here's an update for what's going on now. I know that I haven't written in this thing in over a year, except for yesterday. So, for those that don't know, I'm moving to California at the first of the year. I'll be living 10 minutes NW of San Jose in a community called Sunnyvale. It's the heart of Silicon Valley. There I will be starting a job as an engineer/studio manager at a recording studio. If you want to check out the studio, go here. I'm so totally psyched. At the moment I'm still in Phoenix. Phil and I aren't really together anymore but I'm still living with him. Saturday night I'm heading home to my parents' place in KY for the holidays. I will be hopefully making a trip to Cincy and Columbus. I'll just have to try to borrow a car from the 'rents.

This year has gone by so fast. I've had both good times and bad. My heart's been broken, but I've had some adventures. I've been doing all kinds of temp work, and I also worked for a while for a staging company that does the setup/tear-down at 2 of the big venues here in town. I haven't been able to work for them for a few months b/c I've been working nights @ wells fargo doing data entry. My hardest/longest gig for them was working the B stage at Ozzfest. I was so tired by the time we were done, I just couldn't stick around to watch the acts on the main stage. I'd been there doing heavy labor in 110 degree heat for 14 hrs.

My favorite adventure this year was going to Holland for Kate's wedding. I had a blast. I was so exhausted by the end of the trip since we tried to fit in as much as we could during those 10 days. The area was so beautiful and most of the time we had great weather, which was out of the ordinary for that time of year. Yes, I did go see and went into a windmill. It was cool. Yes I got fucked up in Amsterdam. So much so that we had to go back a second time cause we handn't gotten to the red light district or the sex museum. Too much space cake is bad! We also got high one other time at Dennis's(Kate's husband)old elementary school. Most of the trip though was filled with obnoxious/rude/immature/narcissistic behavior spewing from Kate's brother Andrew. Ugh! Luckily we were able to get away from him at times. The architecture there was so beautiful. I'll have to put up some pics some time. We all took a lot. I'll have to go back again cause there just wasn't time for everything. Dennis was just a doll the entire time, being a real sport through all our touristy stuff. He's got a great family. Kate is one lucky woman.

Well, the only other long trip I took this year was home to Pittsburgh for 10 days at the end of June through the 4th of July. I had a good time with my brother and Heidi and her family. If you guys know what happened so that I missed the Ministry show last December, things have progressed. My brother is in the middle of a divorce. Stupid fucking whore!!! I think my intuitions were right about Laura right from the beginning. He's doing well though. He's turned a new leaf, and has started his Ph.D. in geology @ WVU. Though he doesn't know if he'll stick there. He's had some trouble with a non-circumstance-understanding asshole of an adviser. The other professors from a panel basically acknowledged the fact, so we at least know that it's not just Nathanael. My parents sound as if they are doing well. I can't wait to see them. It's been a year. Mom though is working too hard I think. I worry about them both. There only a few years off from retirement now. My grandma started dating again this year. First time in 63 years. She also had knee surgery and is getting around a lot better. She may be doing the other knee early this next year. Though she did have a scare with a lump in her breast that turned out to be nothing. She's had other tumors before so she was all upset and if it was serious didn't want to do anything about it. She'll be at my parents' too for Christmas. My cousin Shana ran a marathon this year, and her brother Harry finally graduated from OSU. He's been there part time & sometimes full time for 10 years. He changed his major so many times, he just didn't have enough credits in one area. I think he probably graduated with at least twice the required number of credits needed to graduate.

So I'll be back here for the Fiesta Bowl but there's no tickets under $500. I'll hang out though in downtown tempe at one of the bars for it. GO OSU! For the tragedies that happened this year, including my 2nd favorite city being practically destroyed, I feel sorrow... and anger at the gov't. Lots of things in politics have made me want to get into it. That may be my second career. I hate injustice, and I hate those in power that are there only for themselves, which is most of them. Well it's almost 3 here and so I'm going to get going. I'm at work using the computer. I hope you guys read at least some of this. I know it was long. Take care all!
