Some of the Danish colleagues visiting today and tomorrow, one of which is our CEO. He noticed my new contacts and dyed hair, complimented me and then asked me if it was because I was seeing anyone new. Which is.. eeh..
..I should have replied what P2 suggested: "No, but I want to. Men, women, sheep, cows - as many as possible!"
Well, it's not like I'm insulted or anything XD I'm just a bit :-/ about that instant suggestion that I weren't trying to look good for me but for some random date-dude. Even though I guess it's sort of natural to do that too. Eh. I don't even know what I'm rambling about at the moment.
I've started to read the next Margit Sandemo series, "Legenden om Ljusets rike" (The Legend of the Realm of Light ) and it is extremely silly; even more so than the other series. I've only read the first volume yet, but so far we have the blanket statements about how teen-age boys and girls think and act; people doing the wrong stuff and Margit then of course breaking the fourth wall telling her poor readers about what they SHOULD have done instead; sliding into the POV of a random villain guy who proves to be exactly as all other villain guys Margit ever writes about (overly proud about his looks and sexual prowess despite being shit-ugly and having a little dick, narrow-minded and uneducated - well, a couple of them are educated but you sure can't tell when you're in their POV! - and of course all of them believe that all women are skanks); then we can't forget the man just oozing of raw sexuality who first appears to be an enemy but of course will end up converted to the light and paired off with a main character; (and he'll always have broad shoulders and and a strong backside tapering off to thin hips, the chest is covered with manly and apparently mesmerizing hair, I say this because the female chars seem to lose all sense when met by this price) eeh, do I need to continue?
Well, I still like it, but I prefer Sagan of Isfolket (
The Legend of the Ice People)
Which is also pretty much junk, but whatever. XD
