Waaaaaaaah!
Have to wait another week for the next episode of Hana Yori Dango and that, my friends, is physically painful. I adore that series. I even like the "hello I'm messing up the main relationship" Hanazawa Rui this time around - not in the sense that I want him to end up with Makino, hello, but I feel sorry for him.
Shigeru, however, not so much, which is weird because I used to feel the other way around. In this version of HYD I just want to strangle her. If you're supposed to be Makino's friend, just.. what the hell, read her signals, damn you. Don't steal her boyfriend, even if your parents want the two of you engaged. You already know he isn't interested, so.. gah. Go away. You don't love him, you don't even know him, and.. no. Go away.
Okay, and for something that might make sense even to people who aren't brainwashed by weirdass japanese drama series:
It's that time of the year again. Time to pay for my site, that is. And apparently, while I wasn't looking, they've added a new hosting plan which is... lightyears from the one I'm using. I had 750MB HD, unlimited bandwidth, $10.95 per month, or something like that. The new hosting plan has 100 GB of space for $4.95 a month. OK SIGN ME UP KTHXBYE!
...not that I'll ever use that much space, but, hey, it'd be stupid not to switch.
And noooooooow.. I'll play Okage.
It's an amusing game, if only for the characters. The actual game mechanics are way too standard; default RPG battles from the default "hey look at the characters' animations for 15 seconds while we load the battle engine or something", through the standard "enemies are lining up in front of the characters", the very standard menudriven actual battle, to the way too slow experience and item screen at the end of a battle.
But the characters, oh! ♥ I love how Evil King Stan and the Hero Rosalyn are bickering all the time, and I love the sarcastic comments poor main character Ari never say, and the weirdass spoiled princess, and all the random townspeople and Ari's family and Stan's evil butler, and.. yeah. It's worth playing for all the amusing interaction, even if the rest of the game would be, well, I'd say... like 6 out of 10 on the general "this is an awesome game" meter.
I just wish the battles weren't so slow.
