I've been distracting myself from school with lots of media lately (ok, lots for me). After we finished watching season one of Scrubs, which I enjoyed greatly due to how entertaining I find people who grow more neurotic around workplace drama, I introduced
lordlothair to season one of How I Met Your Mother. He took to it wonderfully, and is now using "legendary" in his speech.
Such as in this entry of his, reporting on Unhallowed Metropolis. The game looks to be delightful, in an ooky way, so I'm excited to get to play it (hopefully soon).
It is strange that I am excited about zombie things. Normally I am frightened of zombies. Why, I don't know... it goes back at least as far as that Simpsons Halloween episode with the, you guessed it, zombies. But I've been making an effort to overcome my fear. I started by reading The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks, and now I'm tearing through World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. It's a truly terrifying book, more for the people in it than the zombies. I'm finding it really compelling, though, so I'm tempted to do a paper related to it at some point (on speculative oral histories, perhaps?).
