(no subject)
so, i stayed up all night last night to finish a 20%-of-my-final-grade lit paper. two Red Bulls and a hardcore head cold later, it was done--too bad there was a syllabus change during the class i missed over Thanksgiving and it's not due till NEXT FREAKING WEEK. =( i was pissed, seeing as i have another paper due Thursday that i could've been working on. i turned the thing in, though, so at least it's out of my way.
Kylee and i set up camp in Durham Hall around 2:30 AM--around 4 the energy drinks weren't cutting it anymore and we literally had a dance party in the empty classroom. we thought we were the only ones in the building, but it turns out there were people on the 1st and 3rd floors (we were on the second). too bad we had our music blasting with us singing at the top of our lungs for about 15 minutes. oops =)
anyway, i finished my paper around 7:30, just in time to shower, have a few of my housemates read my draft to make sure it was coherent, and get to class, where i heard about 5 minutes of the 90 minute lecture because my brain was so wiped.
and now? another paper. i slept for 4 hours and i'm preparing for another long night--tomorrow i'm going to walmart for some serious cold medicine.
house drama, surprisingly, is better. it took pretty much the whole semester, but we've finally figured each other out, so yay. college isn't too bad, but the realization that finals are like 40% of my grade and if i bomb them all my As/Bs drop to like Ds pretty much knocked my socks off yesterday--and not in a good way. it was something along the lines of a mini panic attack...i think i'll be ok, though. my health and wellness (the stupid class i thought i was failing because our coach can't teach) coach emailed me my grade--B+! it made my day until i realized i have to get through the final, lol.
so current calculations have me at an A/A- average, which i am absolutely pleased with. it's just a matter of not crashing and burning before finals. i seriously didn't know the meaning of the word "busy" until the past week and a half. not only did i have strep throat, but i had strep throat with 3 papers and a 15 min. presentation to work on--and now it's a crazy bad cold with finals around the corner. =( it's intense. it sucked, too, because Thanksgiving break was AMAZING and as soon as i got back to school i got hit with everything again. lame!
