(no subject)
finally finally FINALLY have internet/cable/phone lines in our mod. about friggin tiiiiiime.
anyway, i'm excited =)
yeah, so talk about college writing assignments being a slap in the face, lol. i guess i expected it, but i chose to not think about it--until i got my first paper back for English 215. not awful, but not what i'm used to, either. the worst part about it is that i have no idea how to make it better. lol. i don't knooooow. trial and error. something.
SVU is still fabulous. my roommate/housemates get better and better every day. the only...bad? thing about the arrangement is that we're ALWAYS watching movies (and 95% of the time they star Adam Sandler) and it's impossible for me to study when i know they're watching one out in the living room. ADD! or maybe i just really hate Paradise Lost. which i do, of course, because i have to look up every other word in the dumb dictionary--and i have to read The Iliad (which is really good) at the same time. yay for two english classes! woo. i haven't gone to bed before 12 since i've been here due to living room activities/talking to Christian on the phone.
first REAL day of scuba diving is tomorrow! =D i'm way excited. there're only like 5 people in the class so it should be pretty fun, aside from being insanely expensive to take.
jogging isn't kicking my butt quite as much as it was...i'm still not entirely used to the 500+ ft above sea level thing, but i'm adjusting nicely.
my side of the room is really messy =) not dirty, just messy. as in i have PILES AND PILES OF BOOKS FOR MY ENGLISH CLASSES and they're just kinda strewn everywhere. and i have to go buy another one today. and do laundry. and go to the ATM and then to the change machine so i can DO laundry. buuuut i don't have any more classes today so it's all good. crapload of homework, though.
our mod has a fish tank now, with like 12 fish. i gave up on my fish bowl...i've bought 6 fish since move-in day and ALL have died because i lose, lol. but the fish in the fish tank are doing great, aside from 11 of the fish beating up on the littlest one that finally died and got sucked into the filter thing.
i'm in the pep band now! on trombone. wooooot. i told them not to expect much because i only played for like 4 months...lol...and i definately missed the van to the football stadium because i overslept on saturday...but it doesn't really matter because i'm not in the class =) and our f/b team sucks, from what i heard, so yay! haha.
so...yeah. that's pretty much it. life is fabulous <3 i can't wait to go home (to SC, that is) and see people. specifically Christian. <333
