Since I'm reviewing this for another forum but I want to count this toward my book-a-day for the summer reading challenge, I will post a short synopsis.
Ms. Hart teaches English in a public high school in Los Angeles. While listening to her nine students banter in her sophomore writing class, Ms. Hart comes up with a writing prompt and gives them two weeks to answer the question, "If you could get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for anything at all, what would it be for?" Over the following two weeks, Ms. Hart contemplates packing it in and returning to her native New York City, and lots of tragedy and drama happen to each of her nine students.
