Can anyone tell me why I still waste my money on the Prophet?

Objective journalism is dead.

At least it has good company in God and Nietzsche.

The question is, was it ever there at all? Well, at least in regards to the Prophet.

How are you, Padma?

In regards to the Prophet? Not in my lifetime, at least. Frankly, I prefer the Times and the Guardian. At least muggles seem to understand that subjectivity and sensationalism should be limited to the 'Opinions' page.

I'm doing decent enough. Finally took the last step into adulthood and moved out of Mummy and Daddy's house.

How about you, Ron?

Ever get around to telling Hermione some time in the last nine years that you're absolutely obsessed with her?

News that's actually news? That sounds wonderful.

Very good. Where are you working, then?

I'm good. Living with Harry and Hermione and working for the Twins. Looking for a different job, though. So far I've no idea what.

Wow. I deserve that on so many levels from so many people, don't I?

And yes. Although oddly enough I chose not to use the word 'obsessed'. We're dating.

It is. They're a bit more expensive than the Prophet, but it's worth it.

Over at Gringotts. Cursebreaker Trainee.

If you make an inventory of your strengths and apply them to a representive model of the skill sets typically required for each profession, you should have a decent start.

Well, you were glaring at her and Krum so much during the Yule Ball I thought your eyes were going to fall out of their sockets.

It's good to hear you finally stopped beating around the bush and fessed up.

The problem is that I have definite boundaries I'm not crossing in regards to profession. Like not working for the Ministry in any way at all. Narrows my options, doesn't it?

Yeah, sorry about that, Padma. I was a git at 14. ...and 16. And I might still have my moments.

Thanks.

Not especially. If you're creative about it. I mean, there are plenty of positions that need to be filled or haven't even been created yet. And if all else fails, there's always metal charming.

You're a guy. You're suppose to be a git. If you weren't, then I'd be worried.

Ah, but I'm not creative. Certainly not in regards to that, anyway.

Metal charming, eh?

I think that was actually a very thinly-veiled insult, but I'll take what I can get.

Metal charming was...well, it was basically the joke profession in Ravenclaw. It doesn't require very much complex thinking, just a quick and steady hand at advanced charms work and some knowledge of metallurgy, which is rather easily acquired.

Course, there's quite a bit that can be done with it. Though, the bulk of metal charmers end up making snitches for a living.

Snitches? That sounds monotonous. I reckon I'll pass, then.

It's an idiot profession.

I've heard you're good at chess. I'm sure you know muggles have professional tournaments.

Yeah, I'd actually thought about that. Maybe I should look into it. Sounds better than my options so far.
