my bday weekend! wow, im actually gonna post this on the r.c. board, lj, myspace, and sg!
thursday - off work cuz of veteran's day. didn't do a dam thing. went to sleep at 7:30am
friday - my job called me at 10:30am and said i would need to do extra work, but they weren't sure what yet, so just get ready and wait for em to call back. they never called so i only got 3 hours of sleep for nothing. my grandfathers birthday was the 10th, so the whole family was going to dinner. i didnt know about this until that day. i have had plans to see slayer and killswitch for 4 months or so, so i told em that i could go to dinner if it's around 4 or 5 or so. they said it won't be til 7:30 so i said i'd like to go but i can't. i go to the show around 6:15 or so and the line is alot shorter than i thought it would be, and the weather sucks. i met krista and we hung out for a little. i decided to go in around the time mastadon was going on, since i saw dave and jeff about to go in. mastadon seemed decent. killswitch was fucking awesome. slayer was fucking awesome. i was kinda surprised actually... usually when a band tours with slayer, they don't get a great crowd reaction cuz everyone is there for slayer and no one else, they just want their slayer. everyone loved kse tho so that was cool. i saw tina. the crowd was insane. hell, i almost got in a fight actually! the floor in one of the bar areas caved in. me, dave, and jeff handed stuff out as usual after the show. then helped load out. goddam do they have a shitload of equipment! i got a free shirt and $20 tho so that kicked some ass. i think i got home at 4am or so.
saturday - drove mat and tom into the city for a while. got a couple cds for a bday present. thanx mat! had some chicken. dropped by my grandfathers house to apologize for not making it to dinner. my parents were both there, and offered me some of the cake from the night before. my mom told me she saved the part that said my name on it. so ya, i felt like total shit. i missed my own bday dinner! came home... packed... went to see tina... got a parking ticket... went to ihop...
sunday - my bday! went to the parking lot of the mall to get some sleep before picking up stella and heading to d.c. slept from 5:30-8am. stella called and woke me, so i went to pick her up from her bf's parents house. started on the drive to d.c. to see lamb of god. get there around 12:15pm or so. met up with some of her friends and went to red lobster. in case ur wondering, lobster = good. mac and cheese = good. lobster AND mac and cheese = not good! we went back to the venue and got some sleep in the parking lot of the venue. woke up and met up with maryanne. took a cab to hardees. that shit was fuckin expensive! $16 total there and back! wtf?! hardees is so good tho. went back to the show. i was on the list but my photo pass wasn't there so no pics this time =( stella had an extra ticket and pass, so she gave me the pass, and gave the ticket to this kid who came from el savador. hung out with patty. the show was great. lamb of god was fuckin awesome! as always! great guys too. lol randy told me to follow him when he was gettin on the bus, then he just left. that was pretty funny. later on in the bar downstairs from the venue, i was hangin out with maryanne, patty, their friend, randy and his girl and a couple other people. randy was telling me about how he loves seeing me and that im a good person and more people should be like me and shit. it was pretty funny. i think that's about all i'm going to say on that topic. 2am me and stella left and headed back north. we slept in a rest area then continued the rest of the way. dropped her off around 10am then came home and tried to sleep. slept on and off all day.
