I am posting this here too in case people aren't actively watching the community but watch me... This is a reason to watch the community actively as well. Please reply at the community thread.
------------------------
Okay you guys, I said that this was going to be a laid back group and everything, and I hate to be a bitch, but I'm doing a sweep now because this is getting a bit ridiculous...
the_old_road has been open since September 5th of last year and we barely have any members, and not even 100 posts... Most of the posts have been submitted by me and I feel like I'm pulling this community by myself. I have a lot on my plate coming up, and I just can't handle pulling the community by myself.
I start school on Monday and my husband gave me til July to have all my DAZ stuff installed on the desktop to see how it runs before deciding if he wants to build a new one or not, I have stories of my own I need to finish as well as other art projects and I have to get things together to send to people. I feel like no matter how long I work at it, the pile just seems to grow. I have no intention of closing
the_old_road or handing the reins to someone else... I have seen with
glitch_wyatt what that does and I have no intention of running my community into the ground so soon after it's creation.
So, here's the deal...
If you are a reader and actively read the posts on
the_old_road all you need to do is reply to this message and say so and not to remove you; I consider active reading keeping up with the current stories on the community. Honestly, I really hate the idea of removing anyone since we have so few members as it is, but I really want this community to grow and honestly its really not. The second job of the readers is this: If you know someone interested in anything related to O.Z., then let them know about the community, spread the word :o).
If you are a writer, then I ask you to submit something to the community in the next few weeks, even if it is old somewhere else, I will give this a month. If you've already submitted something, that does not excuse you from this request. We want to see this community grow, right? And how can we grow with no updates? Like I said, I really hate to be a bitch about this, but I really don't want to loose the community. It is something that I've been working on for a long time, and I've worked hard at it. I understand life is busy and it gets in the way, but I think a month should be plenty of time in which to post here.
If I see no responses to the reader or writer side of the community in the next month, as much as I hate doing it, inactive members will be removed.
Thank you,
PropertyofWyatt
