summer
is finally here. I just ate 1/4 of a watermelon by myself on the back porch, barefoot and in a short sleeved shirt and a skirt. i thought we'd never shed our winter coats.
my skin is pink turning red, even with 70 sunscreen. my legs are still white, i don't think there's any changing that.
things are improving, i think. no, i'm pretty sure. it's been a tough go of things lately, but, man... i have some amazing friends. it's such a change from when the shit hit the fan last time. this time around, people actually dropped what they were doing and took care of me. it feels really good to be truly cared about.
the immediate future has no finite plans. i have a second "interview" on wednesday. my mom is in town. i might go camping. i will have margaritas on monday. i will survive, and that's the best news i can give.
it's 9:30pm, and there is still a lightness to the sky, so i'm going to go finish a light summer meal, and enjoy the coolness of evening.
